Certain Food Ware Products banned in Santa Rosa Food Facilities

The Californian city of Santa Rosa has become the latest jurisdiction to prohibit per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in food ware and/or food ware accessories for dine-ins, take-outs, or in retail establishments or at city-sponsored events.

The signing of Ordinance No. ORD-2021-008 ‘Zero Waste Food Ware Ordinance’ into law means:

  • Polystyrene foam (Styrofoam) can no longer be used in food service ware
  • Dine-in food facilities must now:
    • Use only reusable food ware and reusable food ware accessories
    • Offer condiments in a reusable dispenser or format (pre-packaged single-use packets are banned)
  • Food facilities must provide food ware accessories (items normally provided alongside prepared food) only upon request

The ordinance was signed into law on August 19, 2021 and adds a new Chapter 9-30 to the City Code. The ban will come into effect on January 1, 2022.

Definitions contained in the law include:

  • ‘Food ware’ – all bowls, boxes, containers, cups, lids, plates, trays and other similar items that are used for prepared foods
  • ‘Food ware accessories’ – types of item that are normally provided alongside prepared food, including but not limited to beverage trays, chopsticks, cocktail sticks, condiment containers, cup sleeves, forks, knives, napkins, plate-liners, splash sticks, spoons, stirrers, straws, toothpicks, tray-liners and wrappers

Within retail settings, this ban on BPA includes coolers, ice chests or similar containers, unless these are wholly encapsulated or encased within a more durable material so can be reused.

Australia Based Graphic Designer John Teoh Sees Definite Trends in 2021

Melbourne, August 19th, 2021- According to Australia based graphic designer John Teoh, “Marketing in the second decade of the 21st century is an all-new ball game. Branding is all about coming up with a marketing strategy that speaks to the customers. This puts pressure on designers to come up with designs that resonate on a social level, emphasizing the needs of the customers by choosing the right kind of aesthetics.”

Among the trends that dominate are the ability to visualize data easily. Data being the driving force behind digitization, brands are increasingly looking at growing their customer base by leveraging the power of data. Creative design agencies are, therefore, leaving no stone unturned to simplify the process of data consumption on the part of the customers by deploying easy data visualization.

Says, Teoh, “They use myriad types of data in a manner that is both visually arresting and to the point. This has led to a burgeoning demand for graphic designers who combine the ability to tell a story with the capability of carrying out deep technical analysis.”

The other noticeable trend on the part of data designers is to use a subtle color palette. Choosing the right kind of color scheme is vitally important for a brand. These days there’s a pronounced preference for subtle colors in order to connect better with one’s prospects or customers. It is for the creative designers to be able to effectively use these color tones to impart a natural as well as organic image to the brand in question.

Using geometric shapes is the other great graphic designing trend. Such shapes manage to impart a touch of modernity to the design and help catch the eye of the target audience quite effectively. Geometric designs can leverage a diverse range of color schemes to create an arresting impact on the prospects. More and more one is seeing designers using clean lines and shapes to create a variety of futuristic designs.

Lastly icons and flat designs are quite in the vogue in today’s times.  You will find a very large number of creative designers using flat icons as well as illustrations all the time. These flat designs, sometimes known referred to as 2D dimensional designs are able to communicate the message in a non fussy and minimalistic way that appeals to one’s target audience.

The journey of starting a business to build DIXO Network of La Ngoc Hung

La Ngoc Hung was born in 2002. Hung said, he was originally a student of FPT Academy, in Daklak province. The school is far from home, so since childhood, Hung has learned to be independent and take care of himself. As a math student, he was quite "dry", when he went to school he also won awards for good students, but according to Hung, "not significant". After completing the high school program in his hometown, Hung passed the exam and studied at FPT ACADEMY University, majoring in Network Administration.

La Ngoc Hung

In 2020, thanks to his outstanding academic achievements and extracurricular activities, Hung was selected as one of 8 Google student ambassadors in Vietnam. It was his time as a Google student ambassador that gave Hung the opportunity to have deeper exposure to Google's business models, along with building relationships here. This is also an opportunity for Hung to establish and operate DIXO Network - a global YouTube partner when he just turned 18.

Model MCN (Multi Channel Network) can be understood as a multi-channel network consisting of many Youtube channels. Operating under the MCN model, DIXO Network is an intermediary bridge between Youtube, brands and content creators. In which, DIXO plays the role of supporting partners to develop content, optimize techniques, and promote their videos on Youtube.

Although the MCN model has been present in foreign countries for a long time, in order to effectively apply it to the Vietnamese environment, DIXO must also undergo many business model adjustments. In the early period, Hung and his associates also consulted the foreign MCN model to see how they did it. At that time, DIXO mostly cooperated with artists, this cooperation brought a steady growth of "followers" and views to the Network. However, partners often release a video every half a year. Views and followers have but not much revenue. This was the time when the company faced many financial difficulties.

La Ngoc Hung And Frent

It is this turning point that has brought DIXO strong growth. Currently, DIXO is the main partner of more than 500 Youtube channels of influential artists and YouTubers, averaging more than 5 billion minutes of viewing per month across the Network.

In addition, Hung himself started his business when he was quite young, did not have much experience and knowledge, so he encountered many difficulties in strategy and human resource management, which made Hung often tired and discouraged. However, Hung always kept in mind that "Even if you don't like it, you must learn, you must know to be able to manage and work with personnel", it is that optimism and the spirit of constantly learning that has helped Hung overcome all difficulties. and bring DIXO to more and more development.

After the difficulties and obstacles have been overcome, Hung draws a lesson for himself that to keep a cool head to wisely analyze and think strategically. Along with that is positive thinking, determination in the face of difficulties. Tu Hung added, "I don't support bluffing, start-ups should only be done when there are three factors: strong enough financial potential, a product with a developed market, and a companion to go with. with me".

Community HVAC Services Completes Re Brand Changes Name to Mission Comfort

Waldorf, MD: August 16, 2021 – The premier Walford HVAC service company has unveiled a new name and service expansion as part of an extensive rebranding initiative.

After serving the local community for more than 15 years, it has changed its name to Mission Comfort – which goes to the very core of its strategy to deliver home comfort for residential clients.

It has also increased its service provision, adding heating and air conditioning repair services – but one thing remains the same – a commitment to deliver a tremendous all-round client experience.

Mission Comfort will continue to serve the Waldorf, MD, area and surrounding communities throughout Charles County, Montgomery County, and Prince George’s County.

Their expert teams are now available to offer repair, installation and maintenance services for heating, air conditioning, heat pumps, boilers, ductless mini-split systems, and commercial HVAC. It is also available to provide emergency services.

“Our new name truly reflects our desire, and deep pride, in providing comfort to our community. It is our number one mission,” commented business owner Ron Nelson.

He explained that the rebrand also comes with a new logo for the company and a new website to reflect the broader range of services it can offer to the community.

As for the name, Mr Nelson explained that the all-new look – including new livery on their vans – gives the company a chance to upscale its presence on the streets of the Washington, D.C. area.

“When you have heating or cooling questions, you can easily find answers right here at Mission Comfort,” he added.

Their mission remains to promote positive change within the community. The company does this by dedicating 10% of its profits to community organizations and programs that enrich the community, such as assisting local schools and other learning facilities in need.

To back up its client-focused approach, its services have been garnering five-star customer reviews. Shari Monadizadeh commented: “I want to thank Ron for his kindness and professionalism! He took the time to explain everything going on with my HVAC system and in a way I could understand. I would use this company in a heartbeat again.”

Pat Toomey added: “Ron and his crew were really well prepared and professional. The entire installation took a long day but we were back up and enjoying the comforts the same day.”
