Local Marketing Company Grows Medical Practice Traffic by 88 Percent

SEO Guru Atlanta, an Atlanta-based digital marketing company, understands what it takes to be ranked on Google.

Cumming, GA - USA | July 14, 2020 -- Running a medical practice is not easy. Experienced doctors who want to start serving their community often find that it can be hard to get the word out there. Ultimately, they want their practice to be found by prospective patients.

One of the best ways to be found by the perfect prospect is to be visible on Google. The closer to the top of the front page you are, the more likely you are to be found. But understanding Google’s ranking system and creating websites, keyword research, content, and backlink structures is a difficult job that requires a great deal of specific expertise. This is called search engine optimization, or SEO, and it’s how businesses work to get to the top of Google’s rankings.

SEO Guru Atlanta, an Atlanta-based digital marketing company, understands what it takes to be ranked on Google. Jeff Tormey, the CEO and founder of SEO Guru Atlanta, answers our question about what it takes to get ranked on Google.

“Ultimately, it comes down to a few factors. Relevance, authority, and content quality. A business wants to rank for relevant keywords, and to do so, it needs to prove that they provide what the searcher is asking for. For example, if someone is looking for “bariatric surgery in tijuana”, people are most likely looking for information about businesses that provide bariatric surgery in Tijuana.

“Of course, there might be several clinics in Tijuana that offer bariatric surgery, so how does Google know to rank the best one? Google looks for signals of authority, which mainly looks at content and how many reputable websites link back to the site. Then, Google looks at the quality of the content on the site, which is judged by a variety of factors.

“We developed a system that helps local businesses improve their rankings on Google. By implementing this system for Dr. Jalil, a Tijuana bariatric surgery clinic, we were able to increase the amount of search traffic to their website by 88% and generate 121 new high-quality leads for their practice. Those leads are potentially worth thousands of dollars per lead to the business.”

We asked Jeff what else can be done to help medical practices grow their clientele.

“We’ve identified several ways that medical practices can get good quality leads,” says Jeff. “In addition to good SEO, we’ve noticed that medical practices can benefit from optimizing their entire online sales process. We provide online sales funnels to create excellent user experiences, and we also provide campaign analytics to help businesses utilize the data they already have in order to make better marketing decisions. We started a new business, Bariatric Audience, to work with bariatric surgery clinics, and we plan on expanding our comprehensive digital marketing service packages to other types of medical practices as well.”

Bariatric Audience is SEO Guru Atlanta’s new website that aims to help bariatric surgeons and weight loss surgery clinics grow not only their Google rankings, but their entire digital marketing initiatives.
