Tampa Bay Buccaneers T Shirt Twice Signed by Brett Favre will be Sold Online Sept 29th

Phoenix, AZ, September 25, 2020 -- A Tampa Bay Buccaneers T-shirt worn by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre at this year’s game between the Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers on September 20th – signed by Favre with “HOF 16” (for his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016) and “Tom Brady is the GOAT” (the acronym for “Greatest of All Time”) – is up for bid in an online-only auction being held by Pristine Auction. The sale ends Tuesday, September 29th.

People can register and bid now on the Pristine Auction website: www.pristineauction.com. All the proceeds from the sale of the shirt will go to benefit Brett Favre’s Favre4Hope Foundation.

Brett Favre's appearance at the Buccaneers game wearing the shirt was a significant gesture, as it followed his public support of Tom Brady, the longtime quarterback of the New England Patriots who is playing in his first season with Tampa Bay. Favre's public support followed Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians' negative comments directed towards Brady's after his first week play. The comments from Favre were replayed by countless media, including NBC Sports, which reported:

“One of the most surprising developments from Week One came in the aftermath of the Buccaneers-Saints game, when Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians publicly called out quarterback Tom Brady, not once but twice. That’s something Patriots coach Bill Belichick has never done, to Brady or to any other quarterback.” Favre fired back his thoughts on Sirius XM Radio: “I think the last person you would want to call out after the first game of the year is Tom Brady.”

Favre has a theory: “Maybe they had a mutual truce going into the game, going into the season, something like, ‘Hey, I’m going to be hard on you. I want the guys to know we’re going to treat you the same even though technically I’m not, so are you OK with it?’ If they have that truce, great. If not, I think we are barking up the wrong tree. Dissension could easily enter quickly.”

He added, “Maybe the Saints didn’t do anything they weren’t ready for other than we didn’t protect very well Tom gets hit a couple of times, you get a little jittery, it happens. First half of the Super Bowl against the Falcons he was getting nailed, played lackluster at best. They went in, had a ‘Come to Jesus’ at halftime, they don’t even come close to touching him in the second half, and he’s flawless. So they clean up the protection, and the timing, the chemistry will come.”

Will success come for Brady overnight? “I highly doubt it, but it will come pretty quickly though and they very easily could be 4-1 after five weeks,” Favre said. The shirt includes an official exclusive Brett Favre hologram and matching Certificate of Authenticity from Radtke Sports, the highly respected sports authenticator that has an exclusive memorabilia contract with Favre.

Favre attended the Panthers-Buccaneers game not as a fan but as an NFL Films correspondent. Favre works for The Grind, a show on Epix produced by NFL Films. He attended the game in connection with a feature on Buccaneers linebacker Devin White. According to reports, he was accompanied at the game by a couple of family members, along with a fairly sizable film crew.

Brett Favre was a 20-year veteran of the NFL, having played quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons in 1991, the Green Bay Packers from 1992-2007, the New York Jets in 2008 and the Minnesota Vikings from 2009-2010. He was the first NFL quarterback to pass for 500 touchdowns, throw for 70,000 yards, complete 6,000 passes and attempt 10,000 passes. His 11 Pro Bowl invitations is the third most among NFL quarterbacks. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2016.

Tom Brady spent the first 20 seasons of his career as quarterback of the New England Patriots before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers prior to the 2020 season. He has played in nine Super Bowls (an NFL record), winning six of them (also a record). He’s also won a record four Super Bowl MVP awards. Because of his numerous NFL records and accolades, many sports writers, commentators, and players consider Tom Brady to be the greatest NFL quarterback of all time.

Germantown HVAC Company Educates On How To Choose The Best AC Unit In 2020

Gaithersburg, Maryland (release-news) September 25, 2020 - The Germantown HVAC Company, Presidential Heating & Air, recently created a blog post educating readers on how to choose the best AC unit for them in 2020. The blog reviews top, and some up-and-coming, brands in the air conditioning industry. It goes on to review what to look for in an AC unit to make the best fit for the individual buyer.

The blog begins by comparing the top 5 brands in air conditioning units on the market in 2020. The first listed is Trane, which is known for high-quality products. Trane builds their own coils and compressors and have a high-energy rating, making them a premium product with a matching price tag. Their units are also made with a modern and sleek design.

Next is Amana, which builds all units in the U.S. Amana offers a mid-range and affordable range of units for the average American family. They are also rated with high-efficiency and offer a few models with smart technology.

Carrier, like Trane, is a premium choice in brands and a pricier choice, but has been an industry leader for decades and the top quality to show for it. Carrier has a great reputation and has been one of the highest-rated brands consistently. Lennox is known for their availability of energy-efficient units and has the highest energy rating on the market. These units also come in a wide price range, allowing for a good choice for any budget. Rheem is an up-and-coming brand in the AC unit market, as they have usually been known for their water heaters. However, their products are efficient and come in budget-friendly prices.

Energy efficiency should be a huge consideration for all potential buyers. This is important both for the environment as well as keeping down the costs in energy bills. There are three symbols that denote different aspects of every unit's energy efficiency. First, SEER and EER stickers tell how much electricity is needed to run at a rate of 95 degrees outside and 80 degrees inside and are a good indicator of how the unit will operate in different seasons. Buyers should also look for an EnergyStar certified unit, which is a government-backed rating on efficiency.

There are many factors to consider when purchasing a new AC unit, and buyers want to know their choice will be a long-lasting investment into their home. The experts at Presidential Heating & Air can help with the choice and installing any unit. US EPA Amends SNURs for LCPFAC and Perfluoroalkyl Sulfonate Chemicals

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published final significant new use rules (SNURs) relating to long-chain perfluoroalkyl carboxylate (LCPFAC) and perfluoroalkyl sulfonate chemicals. It also makes inapplicable the exemption for persons who import a subset of LCPFAC chemicals as part of a surface coating on articles.

The Final Rule contains a number of important changes relating to 40 CFR Part 721 ‘Significant New Uses of Chemical Substances’. These include:

  • Amendment to §721.9582 ‘Certain perfluoroalkyl sulfonates’ – requires imported carpets containing the listed perfluoroalkyl sulfonates to submit a significant new use notice (SNUN)
  • Completely new requirements for SNUs under §721.10536 ‘Long-chain perfluoroalkyl carboxylate chemical substances’ – these SNUs relate to:

-     Manufacture/import or processing of LCPFAC chemicals in §721.10536(b)(1) for use as part of carpets or to treat carpets (e.g. for use in the carpet aftercare market)

-     Manufacture/import or processing of (20) LCPFAC chemicals in Table 1 to §721.10536(b)(2) for any use after December 31, 2015

-     Manufacture/import or processing of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts, including those in Table 2 to §721.10536(b)(3), for any use

-     Manufacture/import or processing of LCPFAC chemicals, except for the (20) LCPFAC chemicals in Table 1 to §721.10536(b)(2), for any use other than the use already described in sub-bullet point 1 above

  • Allowing LCPFAC chemicals, including the (20) LCPFAC chemicals in Table 1 of §721.10536(b)(2) as well as perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts, including those in Table 2 of §721.10536(b)(3), to be used in antireflective coatings, photoresists, or surfactants in photo microlithography and semiconductors or similar components of electronic or other miniaturized devices, without reporting as these are not considered as SNUs
  • Providing a list of specific LCPFAC chemicals as well as perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its salts with defined uses that are not considered as SNUs and will not be subject to reporting
  • Revokes SNUN exemptions for a person who imports the following:

-     Carpets containing an LCPFAC chemical listed in §721.10536(b)(1)

-     Articles with a surface coating containing an LCPFAC chemical in Table 1 to §721.10536(b)(2) or PFOA and its salts, including those in Table 2 to §721.10536(b)(3)

‘Article’ is defined in 40 CFR 704.3 as a manufactured item which:

  • Is formed to a specific shape or design during manufacture
  • Has end use function(s) dependent in whole or in part upon its shape or design during end use
  • Has either no change of chemical composition during its end use or only those changes of composition which have no commercial purpose separate from that of the article, and that result from a chemical reaction that occurs upon end use of other chemical substances, mixtures, or articles; except that fluids and particles are not considered articles regardless of shape or design

Examples of articles with a surface coating may include:

  • Apparel
  • Automotive components
  • Carpets
  • Electronic components
  • Furniture
  • Outdoor equipment

The Final Rule was published in July 2020. It requires persons to notify the EPA at least 90-days before commencing the manufacture, import, or processing of LCPFAC and perfluoroalkyl sulfonate chemicals for SNUs – December 24, 2020.

Notification will initiate an EPA evaluation of the conditions of use in relation to the SNU. Manufacturing, importing, or processing cannot commence until the outcome of the review and the completion of any required actions.

Stakeholders should be aware this Final Rule excludes ongoing use as these are not the subject to the SNUR.

It came into effect on September 25, 2020.

Clarity Surgical Proudly Announces Their New Weight Loss Surgeon Dr Owen Pyke MD

Clarity Surgical is proud to announce their newest hire: Dr. Owen Pyke, MD!

Long Island, NY - USA, September 25, 2020 -- Clarity Surgical is proud to announce their newest hire: Dr. Owen Pyke, MD! He joined the Clarity Surgical team on September 8th and will be taking on the role of general and weight loss surgeon.

Dr. Owen Pyke originally hails from the island nation of Jamaica. His family immigrated to the US when he was young, settling in Queens and later Long Island. He graduated from Amherst College with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience. From there, he did his graduate studies at Stony Brook University. He completed a masters in public health and a joint MD/MBA program.

After medical school, he decided to pursue a career as a surgeon. He did his residency at Stony Brook Medical Center and later did a fellowship in Bariatric, Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at NYU Winthrop Hospital, under the tutelage of Drs Colin Brathwaite and Jun Levine.

“We’re honored to have Dr. Pyke join our team. His experience speaks for itself and we’re excited to have him on board,” says Jessica Reyes, Clarity Surgical’s director of operations. “As our clientele grows, we need more surgeons to help serve our communities effectively. Dr. Pyke is a skilled surgeon and, more importantly, a great human being. We can’t be any more proud to welcome him to the team.”

His experience goes beyond surgery. Dr. Pyke spent seven weeks in Ghana doing a clinical rotation during medical school. Later on, during his residency, Dr. Pyke attended a conference in Ghana, serving as the co-chair of sessions between doctors from both the United States and Ghana. These sessions allowed for greater communication between physicians from both countries to help highlight potential areas of collaboration between the two countries. “Dr. Pyke’s commitment to service and to the welfare of his community is a true attribute,” says Dr. Charles Thompson III, founder and chief surgeon at Clarity Surgical.

Dr. Pyke’s understanding that weight loss surgery can help put comorbidities into remission, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obstructive sleep apnea, made it a good choice for him. He saw that weight loss surgery, especially in patients with serious comorbidities, has the potential to lower all cause mortality for them.

Dr. Pyke’s rigorous training in general surgery at Stony Brook University Medical Center has equipped him well to compassionately care for patients. During his time at Stony Brook, Dr. Pyke’s areas of research interest broadened to include health literacy, surgical education, global surgery, and obesity surgery, particularly in the management of anastomotic ulcers.

We, at Clarity Surgical, are proud to welcome Dr. Owen Pyke to our team of surgeons!
